There's a little shop that name The Shang 

We accidentally found it when I was looking for a bag for my mother

And I wanted to buy everything inside.

My plan: bag for my mom

What happened next was I ended up with bag, heart shape napkin holder and astray

and came back next day to buy a heart shape silver box

And almost bought a big silver bucket

Thank God, my besties warned me hard.. :D

But I still want the Budha Head...

And now I can't get rid of colourful bamboo box from my mind

I wanna go back to The Shang

Night Life?
Wow.. is it too much to ask?
I was there with two my besties and both are not a "party" person.
So.. I just had my night well spent...

Our first night in Ubud, we went to Thai Resto just right nest to our Hotel. Its name " Siam Sally".
And it's really delicious. We ordered duck fried rice, pad thai, and the sticky mango rice was very delicious.... Trust me...

Our second night in Ubud. We went to Kebunku Bistro on Hanoman Street. It's a cozy place with a touch of southern American. The music was good. The price wasn't really good. But we have fun there. We ordered pizza, mojitos and of course steak... (cause i was boring in eating raw food).

On Our third night, we ate at Lao Ta on Sunset Road.  It's a Chinese food which famous with its chicken porridge, and it's surely delicious... I have to remind myself if i came to this place again, I will order one cakwe, cause it's really biiiiiiig. But we also had fun there.

And for our last night in Bali, we spent at Motel Mexicola.Its concept is very Mexico. The song, the interior and atmosphere and of course the food. I love it. What's make this rest different are the waiter have special dancing that make us wanted to shake our body. The food were good and the waiter gave enough instruction so we ordered something really good ( and of course not too expensive). We ordered taquitos, it's like smaller form of queasadilla with various filling as our appetiser than carne asada (marinated beef steak) as our main course, and nachos with delicious guacamole and of course various taste of mojitos. I tried mojitos which had jalapeño inside. and it tastes unbelivably good.

Another Story of Seminyak

My mind are still wandering in Bali.

I describe Seminyak as upper class area in Bali. Like Menteng in Jakarta, Kensington in London or Beverly Hills in Los Angeles.

I never been go to Seminyak in purpose. Usually for me, beach means Kuta.

But in our last trip we spent two night in Seminyak.

There are many famous and expensive beach club like Potato Head and Ku De Ta. Many restaurants such as Metis Restaurant and Gallery, La Lucciola, Ultimo, etceteras.  And last but least the nightlife of Seminyak : Woo Bar @WHotel, Motel Mexicola and again Ku De Ta. And the gelato galore Lello Lello and Gusto are also located at Seminyak.

We got very different atmosphere in Seminyak after our healing trip to Ubud.  For sure, everybody needs quite and fun balance, don't we? 

We stayed at Upaasha Hotel on Kayu Ara Street. It's a minimalist concept hotel and I love the architecture and the interior design overall. It the first open hotel that I've ever come. Since they have no main door, as we arrived, we climbed the stairs and there we were, right in the middle of reception area. The lobby and the dining room. It's perfect.

I also love our room, it's very big and white room. I love the pool. They also served a good breakfast and what I love most about this  hotel are very close to all those cafes, restaurants, shops, boutiques and everything. It's like heaven for the me and the girls. So we can just spent our time all day at the places nearby the hotel. Actually there were not many Indonesia stayed there, so i didn't feel like I was in Bali.

Sweet Tooth O Mine

Wise man says:

" Time to go to Italy or at the very least the nearest gelato stand"

We didn't go to Italy so we went to the nearest gelato stand.  There are two famous gelato shop in Seminyak, Bali. And the two of them are in our itinerary, we can't wait to try Lello Lello Gelato and Gusto Gelato. Actually I can't wait that.

Lello Lello Gelato was our first destination when we arrived in Bali. Actually we meant to go to Gusto gelato, but unfortunately it was closed on Sunday so we tried our luck to Lello Lello and yeayy it's open. This shop is located at Seminyak and very easy to find. The shop has beautiful interior. And we find it difficult to choose the flavour cause they have range of flavours that we'd like to try all. So I ended up with the sour flavour. I chose it cause it green and I love green. We spent half an hour to enjoy our gelato. It came in very big portion and I tried really hard to finish it. The shop also has various range of coffee and now I feel sorry not to try the coffee.

On our fourth day, we finally tried Gusto. The place is more simple than Lello Lello and it's coming with lower price. However the variety of flavours made us not easy to decide. I want all. But thank God, we can have two flavours in one cup. The famous flavour was bounty, but i don't like coconut. So I chose one sour flavour (again) and one sweet flavour. Both taste so good for me ( and both of my best friends were not agree with me).

Hey, I still can't move on from my trip to Bali last month.

The memories keep repeating in my head. And I still waiting for to meet my girlfriends.

It's like addicted. That we have to meet everyday like in Bali.

They're kind of filling a blank space in my heart.

A blank space between my job and my family.

Our friendship is like a piece of puzzle that complete a whole picture of my life.

This small bakery at the corner of Hanoman street in Ubud Bali is also fill in a blank space at Ubud Street. It's small shop and it's not an eye catching. You have to enter this shop and feel the atmosphere and try the bread or the cookies and the coffee.

It's called Kakian Bakery. Kakiang is grandfather in Bali language.

I'm glad we had our breakfast at this bakery on our last day in Ubud.

It's a walking distance from our hotel.

I ordered curry fried bread and a cup of sumatra coffee.I love coffee but i'm not used to have bread for my breakfast. I made an exception for this. Because it tastes really good.

I bought some cookies for the boys. 

And again, I'm not really into cookies but this palm sugar cookies are delicious.

And they also sell some local natural soaps, body butter, lip balm for souvenirs if you don't have time to shop elsewhere.

cause we're not in a hurry and nowhere to go. We just spend hours sitting there and talking some not important things.

I love this place. And this will be my must visit place whenever I'm in Ubud.
